Alright, my clutch has been really stiff ever since I bought it. The firewall is cracked so what I'm gonna do is re-weld that, reinforce it and get a new clutch cable.
BUT
here's my new problem, I'm at the drags last night and I couldn't get my clutch to grip. Even if i did a normal traffic lights start and then dumped the throttle, the clutch still gave at about 3000 revs. Kinda sucks, I got no wheelspins on any takeoffs and when i was at about 3300 in 3rd it happened again. This went on all night (even with long breaks inbetween) and i eventually gave up and went home. It sucks, i was getting 60' times of 2.8secs or something like that.

So my clutch is f**k and I need a new one, what should I get? This was a heavy duty clutch, so is there any better? Could the fact that the cable is f**k have anything to do with it? or the fact that my foot must be flat on the ground to have the clutch fully disengaged?

Enough questions, now I need answers! and rough costs, cheers fellas.

I know nothing about clutches so i'm trying to get an idea of types and prices.

This is an everyday use car btw, so i don't want it to be undrivable.
I think i'd be pulling around 200rwhp, but thats a rough guess anyway.

johno says fix your firewall first! see if that fixes it. you may also have a sticky shaft - then see if you need a new clutch...

Johnno, where did you get your firewall fixed? Do you recommend anyone? or is it a do it yourself weld job?
