Hi guys,looking to get some new brake pads for the front of my ef. I'm looking at bendix,rda and acdelco. My car is a family car so doesn't need anything too heavy duty. What's ur opinions???

Happy user of Greenstuff pads which run on DBA slotted rotors. Have tried Ferodo race pads ( DB1108FF ) but have decided to go back to the Greenstuff as I believe they have better cold bite.

I run QFM HPX pads on both my XR6s and am really happy with them.
The EF has DBA slotted rotors and factory single-pot calipers. I previously had EBC Redstuff front and Greenstuff rear. They were good when new, but deteriorated quickly. They need heat and had very average initial bite. Also pretty hard on rotors, but no dust at all and they have reasonable pad life. But not worth the high price. Going to QFM was night and day - a big improvement. The AU2 has standard rotors and factory twin-pot calipers. It had brand new Bendix GCT pads when I bought it. They were quiet but useless. Swapped to QFM right away and stopping distance reduced by at least 20%. Initial bite is excellent - even when cold. They are low dust, but wheel design seems to make a difference as to how much dust you see (not noticeable on the EF, but noticeable on the AU). The pads seem to last and last, yet they are very easy on the rotors - almost polishing them. I haven't had either car to the track, so don't know how well any of the pads resist fade - it hasn't happened to me even in "spirited driving". I never have problems with brake squeal on any of the pads, but I always put a thin layer of copper grease where the pad backing plate touches the pistons to prevent vibration. QFM were about half the price of EBC, and a better pad by far. I won't be going back. If they continue to perform this well throughout their life, I will probably stick with QFM next change. I got mine from GSL Rallysport. They pull down hard wet or dry and would be a great upgrade for a daily runner.

I've ordered QFM remsa, a pad down from HPX, front were $89 rear $79,

good choise, i repaced the front pads on my EL XR6 bout 4 months ago with the remsa pads and DBA slotted rotors, stops well.

I'm getting some front slotted and dimpled rotors off eBay . They are RDA, and are zinc coated.
$250 a pair . You may have linked them uniacidz but I havnt clicked on the links . Phone loads too slow lol I wish it was a easy mod to fit 2 pot calipers and 330mm brakes . My brakes are s**t so hopefully new pads and slotted rotors pulls it up better .
