I had them on the front and rear before the upgrade to 4 spotters on the front. I managed to crack one of the front rotors, when they were replacedthey went onto Jase's car. They were ok, but are nothing flash compared to my current setup

hi
i had the drilled and slotted disks on my xr8 stopping was excellent but after 6 months they had cracked between the drill holes .. i guess it depends on how hard you work your brakes. but next time i will just go the slotted ones instead.. i must say they do look great with the open spoke wheels.. |

{USERNAME} wrote: hi yeah, probably baught them for 50% looks and 50% cos they might stop better.. thought it was a bit weird having cross drilled and slotted on the front and not the rear.. so when my rear brake pads wore down to metal contacting with metal i didnt realy care..(hated the grinding noise though) damage occurred on the standard disc's but all the better compelling reason to HAVE to get new disc's.. DBA cross drilled and slotted disc's..

Have had mine on for 6 months, I needed to replace the originals any way so i thought I might as well go for the DBA. I like them, although I noticed the brake dust builds up on the wheels super fast. I got Bendix pads, I might try some kevlar pads or something when they need to be changed next.

Hmmm yeah i was looking into slotted rotors a few weeks back. But then my funding ran literally dry, but now is like a bloody flood. So they may be comming some time soonish i hope.
I even got qouted $300-$350 to replace all brake pads with bendix pads (non-slotted, just standard rotors/braking system).

Same, I have got a bucket of water in the garage with a wheel brush in it that I use at least twice a week.
They do look awsome behind open wheels. |
