you can buy speedo gears new from fraud, they're like 10-15bux
you need an XR one or just state 3.45:1 and they'll fetch it you can get the the speedo gear thats on the box itself if you ramp the car on the gutter and crawl underneath with your 10mm spanner and pulley

Correcting your speedo will make your car rev out more before shifting.
The shift pattern is based on the speedo readings (not rpm).

well I don't know how relevant this might be but if I were to change the diff ratio in my BA, I need a capa edit to change the top speed shift points (or something like that from memory).

Leave it, have speedo reading wrong but auto shifting at the right times. Change sender gear, have speedo reading right, but auto shifting later at WOT (To the point where you may have to 'lift off' throttle to force it to shift) Change sender gear, fit XR ECU, speedo reads right, auto shifts correctly for diff ratio.

as said above.
the shift points will be about 650 rpm out. this *could* mean under WOT you may hit the revlimiter before it changes.
