I have a camber kit in my ED, with what i am assuming are superlows, i have 1.5* neg camber with max shims, when my wheel alignment was done, i had 3* neg camber, and had great tyre wear

camber kit and wheel alignment is a must on any lowered car regardless of how much, it should be frigin common sense. mine supposedly has a camber kit and i can tell you if they didnt do it you will know, my fronts look fine from the sides but get under the front and have a look. bugger all rubber left and can see the s**t underneath. so they didnt know what they were doing.

so your saying i need a camber kit when i have almost perfect tyre wear? if anything the outside is wearing more than the inner, but thats from my eleet cornering skills.

Do you know what a camber kit is? There is a few mm of adjustment in the factory setup if you need it, not much but. Depends heavily on driving style whether it will be too much camber when you lower it. smoke_ has the right idea. Neg camber wearing inside of tires in a straight line? Corner harder

ok guys here it is. my wheel alignment was out buy a fair bit the first time and now they added shims to the top of the woteva it is called. it doesnt need a camber kit and it is at the perfect camber.
the fella garanteed that there wouldnt be tyre wear like it had before hand and bet his weeks wages on it so it seems to be right. so all you people out there that need camber kits u prolly wont and the suspension people u bought it off just tried to make a quick buck |

It's a favourite trick of alignment places to scream the "get a camber kit" mantra when you go in with a slightly lowered car. I had mine in for an alignment, got my mum to pick it up, and the C*** in the store actually had the balls to tell her that I need a cmber kit because my car was dangerous Took me ages to convince her otherwise lol

Think I gave him the finger from inside my car when I drove past there once lol. Nah, I forgot about being angry like 5mins after I convinced mum it was safe But yeah, bit of neg camber is good, really does make the car feel so much more settled. I get my car done to XR spec now, neutral toe and a little bit more negative camber then the base models.

heres a question. if you put a kit in, what do insurnace say about it because your 'moding' the suspension?

you should still get a kit. Even though you might be able to put enough shims in the uppper arm, it won't let you put more on one side to adjust caster. So i'm guessing you will probably have low caster, and drives like s**t.
My car for example, is fully shimmed on the front of the upper arm, pushing the balljoint backwards giving me the caster i need. I could have left the kit out, but with crap caster, it would just be crap. |

you don't need a camber kit, just a wheel alignment.
