Today when driving for the first time without music going I noticed I've got a worrying noise coming from my LHS rear wheel, Its a loud whiring(?) noise. It only happens when turning left. And I also have a high pitched noise coming from the RHS rear wheel, when turning right, which almost sounds as if the disc is rubbing against something????

Any ideas whats causing the noises?
Is it a simple 'buy spare parts' and DIY?

Thanks in advance

wheel bearings?.... wheels on tight?.... is it irs or live axle ? if both are making noise sounds like you need a new diff ! lots of kays would be the problem or skids or an oil leak from axle seal or diff housing...

might just need a bit of grease...my front ones were just replaced and packed with lots of grease...got new tyres, wheel alignment and now they are humming.

I believe I will be greasing up the bearings nicely again.

Where would be the best place to buy a new hub assembly from?
Is buying one off Ebay dodgey?
Buying from ford is usually overpriced?
