5th gear in my tremec box whines quietly all the time.

What would be broken? Can i fix at home? What would it cost to get it fixed if i give the box to someone?

Thanks.

I seem to recall something about the T3s having a similar problem with their tremecs Dan.
Maybe have a look through T-Series forum on aff if you can handle it LOL?

4 speed tremec FTW!

The last time I drove it was in November, Ive put some fresh oil in there. If its not any quieter Ill get some redline oil for it.

Im still not sure I want to keep it manual or change to auto. I figure if It is going to cost a bit to fix or I need a new clutch I may as well get a TKO box in there or change to auto.

TKO 600 will bolt up but has a different input shaft and needs a different slip yoke.

Ill deal with it until it breaks properly.

Auto for shizzle, not gonna run 8s with a TKO dan ;)

Supra's can do it, why cant I! :D

A 10 second run with a manual would be nice.

I think it will take me 1 trip to heathcote running 14.3 at 115mph before the manual comes out.

I suck at changing gears but I want to try drifting and stuff as well.
