My column shift has an annoying whine in 4th
Only in 4th, only when power is on.
Coasts in 4th quiet as a mouse, but just touch the go pedal and the whine is there.

Any ideas what it could be, and expensive or cheap to fix?

Also, could I get any 4spd auto & swap, or is column shift a special box?

Any help appreciated.
