I was wondering what people's opinions are on nolathane bushes as mine are pretty cracked and split. Im thinking of getting all mine replaced plus assemblys on my NA.

I wouldn't use Nolathane bushes if they were given to me.....I use SuperPro by Fulcrum.

I haven't had any issues with them. only got the rear trailing arms in the falcon, but had the whole front end of a hq tonner done in it with no issues

Seen waaaay too many bush failures with Nolathane and Pedders. Typically, they last just long enough to be out of warranty.
The SuperPro bushes in my ED were bought for my EA and fitted into my EA back in 2000....I swapped them over to the ED in 2009. Yes, my ED has EA trailing arms.....how did they fit you ask....... the-garage-f53/new-ed-project-car-t73529-60.html On this page ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^, you'll see how I did it.

the trailing arms in the ef were only done 6 months ago. but the tonner was done 5 years ago, and are still good. maybe they are hit and miss with nolathane. I was going to say maybe how they were installed, then realised who I was replying too and figured they would have been done properly. lol

I've never had a problem, and never seen an problem. When I was at Repco, the nolathane rep came through when they were buying out whiteline and combining.. One of the staff asked and he said that incorrect installation is the only thing that has caused a problem. We never had any quality/warranty returns in the 2 years I was there. The Lane has been decked out with them for 5-6 years now.. They do squeak though, mostly on cold mornings or after sitting for a while... Nothing annoying unless you have OCD lol.. Always used Supers in 4WDs though because the local 4WD parts shop stocks them.

If you ever get to have a look....look at the inner parts of a SuperPro bush, and a Nolathane bush.....the Nolathane bush is very smooth, and the SuperPro bush has "Knurling"....this knurling holds the grease in place when an inner crush tube is installed......thats why Nolathane squeak. Also, Nolathane use moly grease, and SuperPro use a very thick silicone grease....they used to use a high content Teflon based grease.....it was white......an prior to that, they used to use a Red grease, but it wasn't rubber grease, I guess it may have been some sort of Lithium Complex water resistant grease......but that was phased out about 15 years ago. SuperPro do a lot of R&D on their product before release for sale.....if it doesn't work or is found to be unsafe, they can it.
