I'm looking at renewing all my bushes on the EL as it drives like boat at the moment.
Just want people's thoughts who have replaced their bushes, which type they used and their personal opinions. Noltec claim to have superior products as they use polyester compound which give the characteristics of rubber but with the performance of urethane bushes. Nolathane have been around for years and also claim superiority in their products. Which would be the better product for EL's? Your thoughts are appreciated. |

Nolathane. There more sports/performance orientated. They do a wide range of products too, the bushes, strut braces, coil overs. They also often make replacement parts inproving on the OE stuff - e.g. some model of the commodore has sway bar links that are common to breaking, Nolathane make replacement ones that are less prone.

according to nolathane present formulations of urethane retain the same softness of all other replacement bushes but with better performance, when i get the inner bolt out of my lower right control arm n finish the evo install will let you know...

What you lack in horsepower you can make up in handling....The factory bushes are going to need replacing eventually as they wear out so kill two birds with one stone - upgrade to nolathane and improve the performance of your ride....urethane also lasts much longer than rubber bushes...

Definately nolathane it man...my car used to drive like a boat too, but now it's tight and doesn't float around when i'm driving...

nolathane, evokit + ball joints & tie rod ends = brand new car.
can't comment on noltec but can vouch for nolathane. depending on where you live & the road conditions it might not be such a great idea though, kinda transforms your car into a weekend track car instead of a daily driver. expect to loose speed in the wet unless you want to end up in a tree or an armco.

Will improve stiffness/handling etc, but expect to sacrifice ride quality.
