I installed my big box of nolothane stuff today!, i started stuffing around on the driveway doing it all (got the swaybar off first) then my uncle turned up and told me i was a knob and why didnt i ring him to come use his workshop, drove my car there with no rear swaybar (i was surprised how little difference it made), a job id given all day to complete ended up taking only 2.5hrs to change EVERY bush in the car cept the upper A arm ones, only difficult bit was the radius rod bush in the K frame, but we sorted it out pretty fast. oh, and you need to press the bush in and out of the centre bit of the watts link
WOW my car handles like its brand new now!, no more funny wierd a*** skipping around on bumpy corners and it doesnt bog down like it used to, definitly worth the $500 i paid for all the bushes, replacement upper/lower trailing arms, and front control? arms

Nice work mate.
I reckon a full suspension change, bigger swaybars and a nolothane kit through the whole lot would make an E series handle like god himself made the car. |

does the notholane really make a difference? really?
isn't it just reducing the friction on the sway bar?

its much stiffer than the crappy rubber bushes (my swaybar end bushes looked like marshmellows that had been sat on by an elephant) So they deform less and keep everything lined up better.
If your standard ones were in good order i dont think it would make such a big difference

sounds alright one of my cars needs a whole bush overdone .. so nolathane will be good, plus my spool will wear things out a bit, but i'm preparing myself
so how much did the bush kit set you back ? |

nah it wasnt on a changeover basis
and judging from the description you will need to press a lot of the bushes in and out with that one. I Wont name the person who got them for me, but if he wants to come forward and say he can get the same stuff he got for me for you that might save you some $$$

I too have a box of Nolathane stuff waiting to go in JOSE.
Can't wait to get it all in now! What trouble did you have with the radius rod to K frame bush? I'll be doing the whole lot along with suspension and a diff change Should be a fairly hectic weekend lol.

steady, for the radius rod bush you have to cut the front of the old one off with a hacksaw (the part protruding from the front of the K frame) then put a 15cm long bolt through it and a nut on the end, then if you use a prybar up against the diamond hole bit of the Kframe you can lever against the end of the bolt to pull the rest of the bush out

I had Nolathane swaybar links in for f**k ages, didn't notice anything. I would say people that complain of squeaking didn't grease the faces of the bushes taht need it done properly Cheers JOSE, I'll keep that in mind. I think you got pretty much exactly the same s**t I did, except I've got the upper control arm bushes as well, and a camber kit. Think I'll get new balljoints pressed into spare spindles ive got here as well, and maybe even grab some new tie rod ends. Do f**k EVERYTHING lol
