My ef xr6 has a not so good LSD. I drive it slow but when i do put my foot down round a corner it usually goes one wheel. It doesnt feel to tight anymore. Any suggestions on what to do? Can i get som special oil - i am sure that normal oil would not be enough to fix this.

the problem might not be in the oil, but the fact that the diff may be shot? might be in need of a recon - what kms is the diff up to? does it get thrashed?

mini-spool is not practical for everyday driving as a rule. as for a recon - ?? i know you can get a reconed 3.45 LSD thrown into a car for about $1100-$1200 or so, depending on the place...

My experience - Place in Sydney's west do second hand diff's (3.45:1 LSD) for $650 with 6 months warranty. He swears that all his diff are in good condition and thats why he offers 6 months warranty.

As for all new internals (using your existing centre, axles, etc) I know a place in Sydney's east that can bring it back to new again - all new bearings, gears, crown, etc. original 3.45:1 specs and oils and remove and replace with warranty for around $1000 or around $1200 for new ratios (i.e 3.90:1) This is basically a brand new diff with existing casing.
