Did EA to ED falcons have a drain bolt on the torque converter so you could drain the oil? I know my brothers '94 Fairlane does. I read an article once where a company that modified/manufactured torque converters (for high stall performance) would install these drain bolts into their converters. This would have to make oil changing a snap on the EF/EL wouldn’t it?
Has anyone done it or does the converter off the earlier auto fit the EF/EL? |

They dont as far as i know. My ZJ with a C4 did and made the job a whole lot easier. You could always remove the inspection plate and look. Im servicing my EL this week so ill check first!

I must admit I havent looked myself, but was told by my mechanic that the EF/EL dont but the previous model Falcons and Fairlains do. If I ever put a new auto in my EF (which i will probably have to do) then I would get this mod done.

It would be a good idea to fit a drain plug. That way you wont waist as much by having to flush and would be alot faster.

No torque convertor fitted to an auto falcon since the C4 was ceased is fitted with a drain plug, only ones that have been modified & balanced there after may have a drain plug.
