G'day fellow Ford enthusiasts,
I'm in the process of changing over my diff assembly and discovered the passenger side park brake seems worn. I was pulling on the cable link and notice the rear disc still spins when park brake applied. I went to ford to enquire about a replacement kit...yes they have them but at $245.00 per side. Way too high for my pocket. Does anyother mob sell these or do they need to be genuine? Also noted words stamped on the rear park brake component. the words "Do Not Reline". Is that really the case or can they be relined /rebonded by a brake company? Hand Park Brake I believe it's called Cheers, Peter |

Most brake and clutch places should sell them, and for a fraction of what Frod charges. I had the same experience.

I made enquiries with Southside Ford in Brisbane, buggers told me it comes in kit form at about $245.00 per side. Which Ford place gave you that price $46.35 per side? I might try the Ford's Large Warehouse in Brisbane, one would think the price would be uniform across Ford outlets Cheers, Peter |

I work for a Ford dealer here in Sydney. I don't know where that delaer got their price from but the whole back plate and shoe costs less. |

Papa Smurf,
Ok, that Ford dealer in Beenleigh (suburb of Brisbane) was looking at the parts catalogue onscreen. I dont know if he was legit or trying to sell me a whole kit , me none the wiser. Can you tell me what the part number is for those metal dust deflectors that surround the beack of the rear wheel? How much are they? Mine are bent , I tried to straighten them but makes a scraping sound. Cheers, Peter |

dat111,
Yeah,, Thanks but I have canvas that idea. The ones I've seen are worse than mine. There are a lot animals wreck other parts when they try to get their part intact but bugger the rest for others. I've priced the new tin part from Ford in Brisbane. about $11.00 each. |
