all brake lines from master cyl to the abs unit u will need abs disks front and rear the wiring loom of the whole car needs to be changed ask happy we did on his...

Well I'll get new DBA Slotted rotors to suit ABS instead. And the diff and axel I have syhould already be to suit ABS since it's complete axel to axel out of an EF XR6 wagon.

ive got the stub axels still anyway.
i have a whole abs wiring loom and bem, but i have to take it out of my car so do that in the holidays. |

ahhh abs hey ... lol big job - not hard but it is a big job.
responses are correct so far, yes the non-abs front stub axles are no good, they don't have the hole for the sensors in them. Body loom and both engine looms need to be swapped over. Don't forget to get the brake lines and the brake line plug which plugs up the extra hole your master cylinder will have. abs units use two brake lines fromt eh master cylinder, non-abs uses three so you need to plug one up! abs unit and bracket you can bolt up - ford actually uses the big rivets, but unless you can get hold of those use bolts. make sure you do em up so they don't come undone! take lots of photos, with you doing it and I've done it we can make up a good tech doco on how to upgrade!! send me a pm we can discuss!!

Again depends which way you want to go, IIRC there are only 3 or 4 wires to go into the dash area, and all are there to some degree - the self test line (black/orange) ends at the LH connector behind the dash. You should check the LHF wheel well area, for a plug (if it's there). Yeah, do the brake system side of things first, wiring later - the system will still operate as a non ABS system. Make sure you bleed the system properly, pressurise the system via the brake pedal and check for leaks. Ensure your lines are not chafing against anything (particularly the one that goes under the radiator).
