by bendies i presume you mean the pivot pin bent and cracking away and in xh im near sure you can het the cradle out by taking the cluster out and undoing the 14 mm bolts maybe 13 its been a while and undo the booster and cradel dolts also def 14mm and pull the booster and mastercylinder forward a dit to make it free of the fire wall be carefull of the brake lines no need to disconect though! remove bottom covers and drop steering collum need deep 13mm C**k. removal of steering wheel first gives you more room also when you drop the collum drop the handbrake to get the covers of remove clutch pedal and push rod pin on brake pedal switch and place clutch pedal on ground and remove credel< place in vice i use 4mm plate each side of the cradle which has a hole drilled slightly bigger than the pin weld on the plates and replace cradel also check cabel and firewall it not its not a big job to get the dash out let me now if ya get stuck also forgot to mention that the plate has to be cut to fit the credel if ya want pics let me now

fairmont54 and sooty72 thanks boys been a great help. So I take out the dash cluster to get to the top bolts? Sounds easier than taking the dash out.
