I have seen a few postson here saying pedders gear is just rebadged kings springs and munroe products....
is this correct, i find it hard to believe as pedders is a fairly large brand, i though they would have had thier own brand, and the fact people have used kings, andsaid they were s**t, then used peders then said they were great. So i dunno?????

Guy I spoke to today told me the springs aren't rebadged. Made by them with Bluescope Steel (BHP) in Australia. Also said something about the degree of difference in the springs from side to side is much less compared to King Springs (more precise). Plus they are tested 3 times instead of just once, like King Springs. Same price basically as King Spring super lows from autobarn, so why not.

Pedders are King Springs, you will find alot of products made from steel in australia use local products (BHP/Bluescope) All i know is that i was quoted $920 for the springs, struts/shocks and camber kit from Pedders and that was meant to be trade. I got Kings Springs, Monroe shocks/struts and Noltec camber kit for $604 from a mate in Stawell (Autopro) even Bursons in Melbourne beat pedders on price at $675. You do the maths.

pedders springs are nothing rave about they are the same as kings but when it comes to shocks they make one of the best shockers out there. i myself have pedders gsr shortened struts up front and pedders gsr shcks in the rear and they really do handle well. also i had their springs but now have king lows upfront and SL in the rear (See My Gallery )

pedders springs dont have that lop-sided thing that some kings have.

When you mean by lop sided you're probarbly refering to improper instalation. The rears have a specific left and right fitment. I dont have a problem on mine as all springs are in correct side and seated correctly.

As long as you get shortened shocks to suit the lower springs I think it's all much of a muchness when it comes down to the cheap pedders/king/monroe stuff.
If you're really after handling I believe you can't go past the Whiteline stuff. |

just because one company gets something made by another company it does not mean they are selling the same product with two different names!
if pedders gets king to make their springs then they are made to pedders specs, how tight the tolerences are or the testing done i don't know. even whiteline get alot of gear made by different companies to their specs and then label it as whiteline, i.e. shocks are re-valved boge, kyb. springs i'm led to believe are made by lovells to whiteline specs. this is also done in almost every manufacturing industry you can think of, the cost of setting up manufacturing plants can run into 100's of millions.

Whiteline sometimes gets Allsprings in Moorebank to make springs to their specs as well.
