I put some new fluid in the diff and it seems a bit looser.. seems to be single wheeling a tad more.
I put penrite sin diff oil in, it reccomends it for open centre and lsd diffs... its synthetic too.. Do i need to put an additive in there or something? Or should i not be using this fluid? Thanks. |

It says in the product info that it has the additive and there is no need to add.Interesting it does say if in extreme circumstances the diff is still noisy after refill add a extra bottle of additive. If yours is not LSD i would have thought a additive was not needed.I have just put the same oil in my RTV. http://www.penrite.com.au/files/2E3HJJA ... 80-PIS.pdf

Did you check that the Penrite Sin was the correct one recomended for that diff though? The Falcon LSDs in the E-series (possibly others to, but I can't comment as not familiar with them) take Castrol SAF-XA from factory - which doesn't seem to be an overly common product compared to a lot of other LSD gear oils out there, so I'm assuming that they don't just take any old LSD oil...
Penrite Sin range s**t me, they don't state much about the particular product in teh bottle on the bottles. For the E-series LSDs Penrite recomend SYN GEAR 80/140 |
