Bendix Ultimates are good pads, but they leave a s**t load of brake dust on your rims. If you have an AU, contact FTG, they had some awesome brakes from a T series AU for sale recently, you cant go past them for the price. Cheapest upgrade would be RDA slotted and EBC Greenstuff. It all depends on how much you want to spend

honoustly man, just got the standard rotors if they are cheaper, all slotteds do is look good, for actual breaking, they do absolutly nothing!

slotted rotors do a lot more than look good, 1. when your brakes get hot they prduce a gas which keeps the brakes hot, which will lead to brake fade, or no pedal, the slots help expel these gasses and keep brake cooler. 2. the slots wipe the face of your pads to keep them clean and helps them wear evenly, and enen wear on a pad means more pad surface on the rotor, which provides better brakes for a longer period of time. 3. cooler cleaner evenly worn brakes need replacing less often. 4. slotted rotors look good. for a little extra cash up front slotted rotors are the go, and will pay for themselves when you would be replacing your standard rotors but only chucking another set of pads at your slotted ones. |

Best to buy would be either the Bendix Ultimates or the EBC Greenstuffs
Both are easy to get are top quality pads with out going serious competition pads. Combined with good rotors these will pull your up in no time Rough costs for the pads will be round the $115 for a set (2 pads) A sponsor of this forum - hightek barkes in morrabbin VIC are worth sending an email too - Cam gives discounts to FM members

EBC greenstuffs are s**t,
I have them on my GT and they are good if you are driving around town and are just stopping normally, but if you have to stop in a big hurry at speed, they just die. |

Really???? Well I know, that after 3 sets of standard rotors in 30,000KMs (every service 3 times), followed by one set (recently replaced) DBA slotted rotors in 45,000KMs. I'll be spending the little extra. That's just the different in quality, and as mentioned above, they DO have other braking benefits. (funny your sig says you've got slotteds???)

I had Formular Ferodoe pads put on.
They stoped really good. But leave heaps of brake dust, and after 9 months (even with a 5sp), need replacing, but I do drive like I am in a Supercar race! |

your not trying hard enough then, they work good for light/moderately heavy braking, but when you need them and need them right now, they are not there and thats with twinpots and 330mm front disc |

Stop showing off Have you stepped up and tried the next pads in the EBC range Jeff, EBC Redstuff Ceramics I think they are? Probably munch rotors for breakfast... I was considering them for the Sprint after these Ultimates have literally blackened my rims for the last time. edit: grammar...
