With the shockies lowering the car.....only if the spring seat is lower to start with, but otherwise, no.
Shockies are there to keep the tyres in contact with the road, not lower the car or hold it up. Yeah, big sway bars help with handling, and depends on how much you wanna spend.

shortend shocks wont lower the car anymore, but could increase ride quality.
as for swaybars, from mem ~220 an end for whitline ones, sure someone will correct, hell if someone knows a good price for them im after another set. |

G'day lads, this is my first post, so there you go. I only just fitted a set of sway bars that I got through the Pedders Mob in Wagga Wagga (27mm front and 20mm custom job on the back). All up it was $520 Fitted with bushes etc.

From autobarn here in rocky for white line adjustable sway bars they wanted 249ea then i was going to have to get them fitted.
As for shockies lowering your height it would only matter in the front as the saddle is part of the shock. i know the koni's offer 3 different heights. Hope this helps |

Yeah, Cheers. I drive a '98 XH II Longreach 4.0L 5 speed. People kept telling me I couldn't get it to handle, but thats not true. Far be it from race-car-like in the handling department, it puts most cars I've driven to shame without compromising ride comfort, and all on a budget.

I've got all whiteline gear and it's great, pedders make a shocker that has the lower spring seat, they told me it lowers it 30mm so if you don't wanna buy new springs. Dunno what they offer for the back. I got my stuff from Autobarn all up costing ~$1100 (Bars, Shocks, Springs)

Don't know if this helps, but I had Monroe GT's installed in another car with superlows (the suspension place actually recommended these shocks!), and they were shagged (with easy highway driving) within 20,000 kays. Definitely worth getting the appropriate height struts.

If you are going lower as a rule of thumb always get lowered shocks to go with your lowered springs or as Private 9 found out the shocks will get shagged out very vewry quickly. Its a bit like my EL, the person who owned it before me spent some serious cash and had full k-mac suspension fitted (springs, swaybars, camberkit, full nolathane) but dodged out with Monroe shocks which are now very very dead

Hi.
I had an EB XR8 that was lowered with Bilstein on the front when I bought it. I had the car off the road once with the Bilstein being rebuilt. 3 years later I had to do it again but opted to fit Monroe GT's and had them professionally installed. BIG MISTAKE. Front ended up way to high as the Bilstein had lowered (adjustable) spring saddles and the installers expected me to accept it looking like a GTHO launching.?? Resulted in me knocking back the car until they fitted the new lowered springs I paid for. Took 3 goes and it was never as good as the original setup. Soon after I sold the car anyway. I still have the Bilsteins and original XR8 springs, the Bilsteins still both need a service and one needs a new shaft as the original mechanic used the wrong nut and stuffed the thread. It was cheaper to service the Bilstein again but I could not have the car of the road for 2 weeks again. Is anybody interested in them, I know they are very expensive to buy. I don't want the world for them seeing as they need work but they are too good to throw away. I'm in Adelaide and would prefer pick up. |

I might be interested in your old springs and can help you fit your new 1's.
