To all Ford Falcon Owners:

It would be interesting to see what size tyres/rims people use and what psi they pump their tyre pressures to.

Brand: Supercat
Size: 225/50 R16 92V
Front: 34psi
Rear: 40psi

Please list yours.

I think you'd get a better result if you ran the fronts higher than the rears.
I run 40psi front, 38 rear. 235/45/17s

Nah, his right i put mine 36 fronts and 33 rear ... i save more fuel and i turn with easy at the same time i got grip where not many cars don't they slide there including the police.. lmfao

Nitrogen Filled

why nitrogen filled? advantages?

There's no real advantage - tho there's absolutely no harm either. SOME people have misconception that N2 expands and contracts less with temperature - that's utter garbage - normal atmosphere is 80% N2 already - think about it...

With N2 you're gonna get definitely dry and clean gas - vs possibly dirty / moisture laden compressed air, depending on how diligent the servo or workshop etc. maintains their air compressor - so there's quality advantage there - which combined with N2 being inert also bears on reducing chance of corrosion in tubeless wheels.

We use N2 in aviation in tyres on higher performance (ie. faster takeoff / landing speed and higher tyre pressure) small planes and all big ones - primary reasons being that in the case of fire then the large released volume of gas from the tyres won't be a supply of oxidant for combustion - and also the quality and corrosion issues (keeping in mind aeroplane wheels are often high magnesium alloy).

GT Radial 225/60/R15 - front and rear 40psi (cold).

Interestingly enough, I've been running my car tyres at 40psi across the board since I was a teen - AND in recent times I've had a few tyre places state that they also recommend running at 40psi "because over many years we've come to find that gives ideal combo of handling and wear".

Federals 595's

245 / 45 r17

Front - 38psi
Rear - 42psi (Carry a bit of gear in the a** of the wagon)

federals have been pretty damn good and have real deep directional tyre pattern, so far they have outlasted the Dunlop Sp sports I had on there before.
