My sons EF is using some power steering oil.Small amount each week.

Now I believe I know where its coming from but would like some help with a solution.

Its leaking slowly from the hose where it attaches to the metal return pipe from the steering and joins the pipe to the power steering cooler etc.,

My question is how much pressure is in the return line and if its just a oil return then could I cut the old hose away and replace it.

The hose to the steering has high pressure fitting both ends, but the return hose as high pressure fitting one end and just a hose clamp where it bolts to the cooler. Do the high pressure fittings fit over normal fittings so i could just cut off and fit a new hose over???
