i was just trying to find out the difference between AU wheels and pre AU wheels, like do AU wheels sit in further, or sit out further, and what the measurements for it? i think you were saying the stud spacing which is 114.3 or something?

If you put AU wheels on a pre AU they will sit in further. Fouls on the suspension on the front.

5 x 114.3 is the PDC the offset pre AU is +6, AU onwards is 5 x 114.3 PDC and offset of +35

yeh, there is an AU up at the uni with a set of ELGT rims on it, it looks good though, they dont stick out past the gaurds either, the main problem with AU/BA rims on a pre AU falcon is that the tyres will rub on the front suspension

35mm hub adaptors is whats needed, and its not just the tyre that hits, its the rim aswell...

Sow how does this +6 offset measure up in terms of inches of BS (backspacing?), I was checking out some wheels on VPW and the 3 offset options are 3.5", 4" and 4.5"... Am I reading something wrong: 15X8 5-114.3 PCD/4" BS

Offset is the distance fron the centreline of the wheel to the hub mating surface.
Backspacing is the distance from the hub mating surface to the inner edge of the rim. |

Ok sweet... So after some further reading 4.5" of backspace on an 8" rim is 0 offset (4.5 due to the bead not being included in rim width, but being included on backspace). Just taking a stab in the dark that a 4" backspacing should do it (might stick out a little but that fine)?
