Trying to install a romac minispool to a ford 28spline LSD... but how do you hold the spool in place? There are pins which are supposed to hold the spool to the housing, but the pins that hold the planetary gears are all joined together and cannot be used with my spool?

You cannot put a mini spool in an LSD, it must be a s/s diff for it to fit.
Someone correct me if im wrong?

Apparently you can't put a spool in a ford s/s diff, mine was a LSD... sorted out the spool problem, i needed new pins to make it work

Yeah, spools are intended for open wheeler diffs, where you use the existing pin that holds the spiders.

Interesting... I was intending on buying an open wheeler diff, and rang Fluidrive in Bendigo about getting a minispool and they told me they can only be fitted to a LSD centre in the E series...

if you get a full spool you dont need a centre at all, the crown wheel bolts to the spool.
