Yo, anyone have a link on fordmods.. a tutorial on how to pull a diff a part and throw in a spool than put it back together.... otherwise i'm gonna have to ask a mate to give me a hand.. but would like to give a crack at it myself.
also note any tools i will need, or what tools i'm going to need thanks |

its dodgy but it works...get a scissor jack and sit it on the piniion...attach a chain to the ends of the axle tubes ( with axles removed of course), and SLOWLY wind the jack a little bit at a time, check every 1/4 wind to see if centre is still in tight, when centre is loose just pull it out

That would probably work well if your carefull but it would be very easy to bend the housing. I just use two pieces of wood to lever the center out and another block of wood and hammer to put it back in. Just leave the caps on loose in case the center pops out.

thanks for the replies guys, i'm gonna give it a shot and see how I go, if i find it hard i will get my mate to give me a hand.
i was thinking that i only had to take off the face the cover off the diff, looks a bit more complicated, but i will see if i can do it. thanks everyone |
