Ok peeps,

Been having troubles with my auto in the XR8 and took it into a Gearbox place in tuggeranong they quoted me up to $3000 to pull down the auto and rebuild it to fix the problem that i'm having or they told me i could just replace the whole thing with a good one.

so the replacment auto is on its way thanks to the fella's at FTG auto salvage.

However i am starting to have doubts as to just how easy this swap will be.
What i'm looking for is somebody who may have done this already and knows the pitfalls and things to avoid.

I have mechanical know how at my disposal and all the tools in the world i just dont deal much with late model fords.

Any info or feedback would be greatly appriciated as i'm planning on starting this weekend.
