Just looked at ef ghia 6, all ok except i noticed under r/hand side front spring bracket ( where the spring holds on to the underbody ) there are shims (brass looking) about 4 cm of shim between bracket and where it bolts on to underbody of car??? is this normal?

I take it you are talking about the upper control arm? If so yes its normal for shims to be there as they space out the camber/castor kit to the required setting for wheel alignment.

ok julz never seen it on any of my other cars?? maybe coz this ones got the ef xr motor in it, maybe suspension is the same???

would anyone have any pics of where I am talking about?? Im not sure if its the control arm??

this is a rigid bracket bolted to undercarriage?
