Hi Guys I have a strange one, I find my car to be very low and difficult to get out of as I have a lower back problem so I need to raise the car a bit.
I was thinking that if I could get 4 hydraulic rams and mount one in each corner and when I put it into PARK with the engine still running a line from the power steering pump to each ram could raise the car about 100mm. is the car lowered now? simple answerif thats the case!
you probly find that you would be able to get the springs re set higher. i know you can do it lower... so cant see why not. i imagine that it would be hideously expensive to set up a hydraulic setup |

Wouldnt it be easier to install some grab handles (panic handles) just inside the door like in the passanger seats to assist you up out of the car along with a door stopper so the door can also be used to hold onto without it closing on you. Im sure that your local road authority rehab centre would be able to help you with options and or contacts to assist you. Its just that installing hydraulic rams to raise the car may run into big bux and roadworthy problems

I saw a EF seat on Ebay not long ago that had been modified so that the base could rotate and then slide out the door. It was designed for a person in a wheelchair but would be alot cheaper than jacking the car up.

A swivel/sliding seat is another option but must have an engineers certificate and be approved by your local road authority. Be easier to look up info from your state road authority to what is available and what is legal and passes Australian standards.

if your ride has been lowered just stick in stock springs that will lift it up
