Just wondering if its possible to get my ute re-certified to lower the load rating of it. Its a one tonne load rating but I want to get it re-certified to say 3/4t or something so I can upsize rims without my insurance company having a spaz. I dont even need the 1 tonne rating but it does carry weight although no where near one tonne

I didn't think wheel size (diameter) was an issue in relation to load rating? Width maybe...is that what you mean?

basically the stock rims i have now are one tonne rated because of the one tonne suspension. The new wheels I want are only around the 700kg mark each and basically because my tyre placecard says its one tonne rated im spose to have wheels rated to that aswell or some crap. Insurance companys

They wouldn't be rated at 1 tonee each though would they?? Other wise technicaly its a two tonne ute.....

Yeah but your cars rated to 1 tonne in the tray, so that's 500kgs per wheels plus the weight of the vehicle. |
