I didn't know what forum to put this into, but I think it's close enough to wheels and suspension.
I'm going to be buying a set of 225/60R15s for my XR rims on my falcon.. now on my previous falcon I had these tyres from GT Radials and they were awesome. I did the ring around and most places mentioned tyres like Sava Intensa or Bridgestone... Now I know there's a lot of good tyres out there, but there's also a lot of bad tyres out there. I was wondering what everyone here has and what you recommend. I'm also after any tyres that were crap so I can steer clear of them. |

Stick to the tyres you like - GT Radials are very good tyres!! then you know you will get good use out of them
|

Apparently the US manufacturer has stopped sending GT radials to Australia so they're hard to come by.. especially in non-common sizes like 225/60R15
|

I am having problems finding the right tyres for my Fairlane at the moment. Trying to get some tyres in 235/60/15. Very hard as a lot of manufacturers have stopped making this size. The ones that I think that Im gonna go for are the Yokohama Y352 as I am very happy with the yokies on my XR8 albeit a different tyre.

mmm if you want cheap tyres sava's are alright. but the quality is s**t. Uber soft compound, only just got 10,000km out of my 17's so far with maybe 60ish% left. and the road noise on the highway is terrible and not to mention grip in the wet is non existant

i had sava's, never again, they smoke alright, and lack of grip in wet as was just said.
i recommend nankang tyres as a budget tyre.

Bridgestone G-grid's are a good. Good grip, good mileage but not so quiet. Still made in 225/60X15's.

awesome under $200 for a 225/50/16 great all round grip made by bridgstone too!

look for japanese tyres Toyo, Yokohama are my favorites, i worked in the industry for 5 years and found these 2 to be the best if u want a slightly cheaper tyre hankook silica and kumho silica tyres are also really good

Yeah I wasn't going to get those Sava things... I've heard they are gripless.. I want wider tyres for more grip dammit hahaha

avoid madison tyres.... grippy in the dry but suicide in the wet
