OK, i need my Flex plate from the 5.0, and am having troulbe removing the torque converter but have come to a stop.
Which way do the bolts turn( the 17mm that hold the converter on). The 5.0 is not in the car so access is easy, but they dont seem to want to budge.
I dont want to go anyfurther so as to not damage the bolt heads.

Cheers in advance
Brett

do you mean the 4 through the flex plate? If so, they should be normal (right hand) thread, so should undo anti clockwise. They will be pretty tight though, so they may take a bit of shifting. I took some out of a 6cyl the other day and all i did was lock the crank with a socket on the front pulley (harmonic balancer).

All done, Thanks for the reply.
Torque converter bolts were easy compared to flex plate bolts, got the rattle gun onto them, all done in 5 mins
