It is leaking from that fitting too.

The top two pictures are the leaking nut on the power steering pump, can I separate the brass adaptor from the rest of the assembly? I'm going to reseal it with locktite thread sealer.

This is the replacement power steering hose I got from Repco.

From memory, the hose you bought makes the adapter nut obsolete.
If not, go back to repco and get them to check for a different part number to suit the same car that will make that stupid nut obsolete.

Ford insist on making the high pressure connection overly complicated and leak prone.
Kelpro have hoses for most models that does away with fords leak prone setup.

Failing that contact Driveline Services and buy their hose.

I don't think it does, it screws in perfectly to that brass nut, might have to buy another hose.

Any tips on removing the other end of the hose on the top of the rack?

I put new o-rings on the pump nut and the adaptor, the one in the pump was chewed out, the one in the adaptor was crushed.



A 13/16" socket is the perfect fit for that brass nut, it was tight as f**k too, the o-ring was completely crushed.

I also managed to get the rack end of the hose off, but how do I get it out of the clamp under the car? Its going around two pipes.

Alright update, got the new hose, having trouble putting it on:



It goes in fine up until that point, you can turn it in with a spanner, there is no resistance on it so it doesn't feel like it is cross threading, but it gets to that point and then you cant turn it anymore? Its not all the way in.

Any ideas?
