Hey all..

Thanks to old_mate and his orig emails to Mal Wood, all clutch pins have been revised and are much stronger.

I have not yet tested the unit but for anyone thinking of welding, manual pedal boxes etc, I would look at the following..

A picture says 1000 words, I assume these are the dimensions relevant.

While they seem like rounded off figures, they were pretty dead on.

Ok, fitted the plate from Mal Wood today cause it looked like a good idea and seems to do the job well.

The u-shaped part needed to be shaved a little to fit over the main rod and the pedal box isnt exactly straight so some sideway pressure is on the pin but it was easy to fit up, well not sure if i did it right but there was only one way it would go on without drilling any holes.

One of the original washers had to be left off cause as you can see there is no thread left with the plate fitted. i recommend everyone with the pin fitted should get these plates put one cause i noticed in mine, when i pushed the clutch pedal to the floor the whole pedal box seemed to flex somewhat, but with the plate installed it barely moved.
