work mate has an xr8. he has managed to get his hands on some bf gtp springs for nothing. do the gt's have a lower ride height than the xr8. i think they do but not sure. does anyone know the specs of each ride.

GT's and GTP's have tighter front springs for better body control when cornering. Helps eliminate the "nose heavy" handling of the XR8.

Maybe sits lower because of the extra weight in features etc.?

gt/gtp is a whole 40kg heavier than xr8 so not going to have any effect on ride height. if there is any difference in ride height it will be because of the spring not the weight of the car.

ford confirmed the shock is heaps better. getting back to me on springs. springs were free so doesn't really matter. if they're lower, bonus. if not nothing lost.
