Hi there,

I am getting significant vibration coming from the right rear wheel as speed increases. I know it is the right rear wheel as when the rear wheels are lifted an run I can see the wheel moving up and down - gets worse the faster they go.

What I have done - had two wheels balanced (different one with a brand new pirelli p-zero and the other some other brand tyre but new) and tried them both with no difference to the problem. Took the wheels to someone else and had checked for balance again and re-tried them to no avail. Rotated each wheel through the various positions on the studs - to no avail.

Therefore I assume it is something other than wheel balance, but I cant figure out what it could be. There is no bearing noise coming from that side that I can hear. It is only coming from the one side. It occurred not long after getting a new set of tyres which is why I tried other tyres and rebalanced the wheels several times.

Any tips or suggestions as to what might cause this would be appreciated.

If the rim is "going up and down" on the rear and you can see this I would think you may have a bent axle or really shagged bearings.
If wheel and tyre all balance up OK then new axle and possibly bearing.
