G'day I recently picked up a set of abs equipped eb or ed futura rotors off a wreck. The rotors looks basically new, so I figured I'd take a punt, but now I'm curious will they fit, or are they a no go, as I've got an ef, I checked out supercheap and they have different part numbers ea/eb/ed to ef/el, but I'm curious what the difference is if any.
Basically does anyone know for sure whether they're interchangeable. They're going on an ef fairmont with abs. secondly I've changed to an el diff, I haven't had any dramas with not changing the suspension arms, But I haven't had a working handbrake since. Lokking through the threads I've found they'res difference, I'm just curious as to what of the handbrake sstem I need, as I'm a littlconfused, eg does rear cable relate to the cable strtching the diff or the one along the length of the car?

Ah hell your right, just went and checked the studs are heaps shorter, hmm not neccasarilly a big deal though.
Yeah just worried, if I'd fitted them, and say either they plain didn't fit, or say the abs wheel was different etc. Much appreciate it, thanks Joel H.

I have had the FTR's on my EB for 8 years no probs (with the shorter studs), and my EL has them from starndard (FTR option) and has had the ED disc's on the front for atleast a year. I don't think the shorter studs will worry you. If you are worried about the ABS, just count the holes in the tone wheels and make sure they have the same number of holes in them. Bearings and shells are the same so they will slide straight on. Just check your bearing condition as you go. Wait! are these rotors for the front or rear???? I didn't ask. If your talking front then no worries, if you are talking rear... its a no go.

Yeah front I thought I'd mentioned it, doh.
but yeah as I said I'd checked the studs, Yeah when I said not necessarily a problem, be cause I'm on stockies anyway, hehe. and beairngs etc. I think were done to match, they were shining brightly on the ground probably why I noticed them, As I was planning to pickup a set of new fronts anyway. Yea I'll check the tone wheels but if you haven't had dramas. shouldn't be an issue.

If the ABS ring is not the same, they do knock out, and can be tapped in easily, so you could swap them.
