G'day
I'm replacing my steering rack and front suspension bushes (upper, lower control arm, etc)but am thinking of going back to rubber for the bushes just for an easier ride. Anyone know of anyone in Brisneyland who would have rubber bushes as opposed to polyurethane, nolathene, etc for an EF ? Any thoughts on Rubber vs Urethane, etc

mate you used to be able to get urethane bushes in different hardness levels. Don't know if they still make 'em but ask "hey can you get these but a little softer?'

I've had very good experience with Darren/Peter at Durashock in Archerfield (Brisbane Driveline Services or something).
Whatever price you get, talk to them and they'll beat it by a lot. I've had them fit short stroke shocks to my car, which are excellent quality and the price fantastic. I also got a quote for superpro bushes from Fulcrum, which are softer than some others. They wanted $1150 for the job. Durashock quoted using exactly same part numbers....same job for $750. Cheaper part pricing and labour. Highly recommend them. They also have an outlet at Brendale I think. Look up their website if you're interested. Joe

Falcon, let us know the results once you've fitted rubber or urethane! Should yield good improvement. I'll be doing the same shortly using superpro.

Ended up putting in Nolathene Uppers,Lowers,Radius am & Rear sway bar D bushes (with a Ford remanufactured rack and pinion),seems a bit harsher than rubber at the moment, but they might need a little time to settle in

I think Nolathane are supposed to be the hardest of the bunch. I guess thats part of the compromise. How has the urethane affected the handling of your car?
