I have a base model EF Gli and i want to stick some Low Springs in to it to lower my beast . My mate thinks i should be able to keep the stock shock absorbers, So i was just wanting to get a second opinion on that thanks.

depends how low you wanna go really. If you just want to put in lows then ur stock shocks will be fine, but if you want superlows or ultras you can still use stock shocks but the ride will be terrible and they won't last very long at all.

Low springs will suit standard shocks fine. Putting anything lower than lows will make your ride quality suffer. You will at the same time shorten the life of the shocks. I have a set of brand new Whiteline low springs which are unopen in the box (front and rear). They will lower your car approx 25mm - 40mm. They are for sale. Looking for $300 for the set. PM me if you are interested and we can work something out. |

I deff cant make any deals until 2008 because i got a very low income and i need my drive line / uni join looked at and need to replace my retreaded, remold tires if you still have them for sale when i get some cash i deff consider them. thanks |

if the shocks are the old & worn originals, then the Low springs will kill them.
While standard height shockies can be used with Low springs (30mm), i found when i fitted the springs on my original shocks, within 2 months they were rooted. |

Grey or silver (depends how ya look at it) sedan with a mark on bonnet where paint has faded just look for the one that is riding extra high off the ground. |

King lows can be bought new for around $250 front and rear. If the shocks are the originals they are probarbly on their way out anyways. It would be wise to replace the shocks with shortened type to allow if there is extra weight in the car (sufficient suspension travel) You can get away with only fitting the shortened shocks to rear as thats where cars will drop the most with extra weight espacially in the boot.

well im a sunny sunbury boy and in got an ef i got only low springs, as the boys in blue hate it, but if you want ultra low u can chop ya standards and put air shocks in which i run in my car and there fantastic for towin as they have the valve in the boot for how stiff u want them.

Chopping springs it downright stupid and dangerous. Anyone who does it, is an idiot who's putting their lives and other road users at risk.
