Just interested on what sort of suspension you guys would recommend for drift? Stiff springs, sway bars etc... what measurements what brands etc?
No coilovers for e-series yet are there? |

Nolathane do adjustable coil over suspension for the E-Series, have for quiet some time now. No need to go custom.

thanks twr7cx.
Froudy if you were the best drifter in the world and you had an e-series in a comp, it would have to be setup properly to have a chance for winning. Sure you can drift a slightly improved e-series but you can nto get the angle or smoothness as a jap car unless you spend $$ on suspension. |

Even the jap cars don't drift to well (competition) without alot of money being spent on them. Keep in mind a Falcon has a big heavy rear end, when they get sideways they're not always recoverable. Just look how many Falcons and dunnydores end up sides ways into fences/poles etc. Having said that, concorde gets his Fairlane real outta shape while still controlable - but he can drive.

As noticeable on DRIF6, they've kept a lot of rake in the car to help promote oversteer so don't go to low in the rear otherwise your front end control will be terrible and you'll be plowing straight ahead when you plant your foot. The saggy a*** set up that seems to be popular lately is great for the drags but terrible for cornering. A bigger sway bar out back is going to firm and level things out, take weight of the outside tyre and help it slide tho not many places are advertising a rear bar that's bigger than 24mm which is the size that most well known suspension mobs regard as the sweet handling and grip size. Urethane bushes to give you more feel, control and a tighter/firmer ride. I do think tho that your going to have to throw it around a bit to get the a*** 'out there' and you may want to think about a low boost Powerdyne set up to give you solid, useable power from down low and through the mid range but not root enigines every other meet.

I wouldn't say essential. Look at all the back to back comparos on the Tornado and Typhoon, all the journo's say that the Tornado's live axle rear end slides around and offers no where near as much grip as the Typhoon's through corners. |
