Try jaycar or altronics... you can get everything you want from them.. and they even deliver if so choose.

ok ive read over this and love the idea i went and got the parts although there where no 10watts so i got 2 5 watts to match it bla bla
but i read over this topic and saw this was already brought up but the answer didnt really lead to anywhere. if join them together to make 10 watts will it double the ohms as well? or more importanly will it work if i join both together to make 10 watts? |

I tried this in my car (el). After a few months the gearbox shat its self and had to get a full rebuild.
Has anyone else had reliability issues? It was fun while I had it though... |

use the two resisters in parralel and it will double wattage and halve the ohms.
eg to get the equivelant of 10 16ohm you need 2x 5W 32ohm in parralel with each other |

Deposit $35 into my acount and ill build you one and post it over to you. I built them before and i have almost finished the doco on it. You can install you self, as long as you know how to read a number higher then 10 and know where a ecu is. You dont have to solder it to the ECU because u maybe beable to crimp it in. EASY

YEP I done it. Ill get some photos up when i have a chance. I used a DPDT switch. 3 of the ples were used for the shift kits its self. The other 3 i put 12v + in to the middle then on the outer poles i had a superbright green LED with a resistor and a red LED for off. That way when the shift kit is on it is Green and bright and you know about it. When it is off its red and not so bright.

EF/EL bump the 5.6ohm up slightly. That will make it firmer IIRC.
