Hey, sorry if its been asked, i got sold a dptp switch with only 3 connectors, it shifts hard with one, and the other it goes into limp home mode (3rd gear etc).

It looks like i followed the plans correcly, does anyone know where i went wrong?
Cheers
Matt

i have just purchased the parts for the shift kit. I got the '0336' switch from jaycar, which is a 3 position switch (on, off, on).

Is this the correct switch??
I also purchased the (on, on) switch just incase.

What are the 3 positions for??

Cheers
David

worth while mod. I just got a Single Stage TransMod shift kit from shiftkits.com.au $70. Very good product. You get everything you need and the switch module electronics is epoxy resined in a black box.

Makes a big difference around town and down the strip but don't use it in the wet..lol..lol...backend likes to go sideways.

cheers............

just got off the phone to jay car and they do have the 18ohm 10w but only 4.7and 5.9ohm in 10w would this make much of a difference? or change the 18ohm to 22ohm?
i'd prefer the shifts firmer rather then softer then the original schematics but not buy a huge amount

I put a shiftkit in my EFII shaggin wagon yesterday.
i went with the 22ohm which is supposed to be a medium shift and bugger me - it chirps the tyres from 1st-2nd no worries at all!
you should feel the thud through the driveline between changes. took the mrs for a drive to show her and she went off. luckily i put a toggle switch in to turn it off. its pretty hard, i was hoping it would firm the shifts up but it went too far. maybe a 24 or 26ohm resistor might be better.

when i drive the car by myself its still too hard. i can't put up with it. its ridiculous.
the 2-3 & 3-4 shifts are perfect, but the 1-2 shift is waaaayyy too hard. its unbearable.

i replaced my s5 solenoid for an au earlier this year. dont know if it was the adjustable type, i just put it straight in.

any suggestions on what i should do??

hi guys..i went out and bought every part i need to make my shiftkit..

Now i couldn't get 10 watt resistors so i got 2 x 5 watt resistors. one is 4.7ohms and the other one is 1ohm. now i want to know if it is possible to somehow joins these together to make a 10w 5.7ohm resistor. is this possible???

I also had to get 2 x 5 watt resistors that are 18ohms each. can i some how join them so they become 10 watt but still remain 18 ohms..

Sorry for the trouble but am a little slow in this kind of electrical know how..

Also i got an ON/OFF/ON switch..is this the correct type to get

any help is much appreciated

im just about to start my kit. cost me 18 bucks total as i got 25 meters of wire (so i can do other mods and hide the box/remount mount the switch) and a large box so i can insulate it all properly

whooo baby... does it shift fast now... its pretty much instant.

i used a 6.8ohm instead of the 5.6 as jaycar didnt have the 5.6.

my car needs a bit more advanced timing for it to run right as im not making power before 2000rpm and due to the quick shift you really notice it now.
