Im having a go abuilding one of these!! (im not flash with electronics)
I got a switch with an inbuilt led which turns on when its on, anyway its got power, Acc in the middle, and ground on the other side. Is this switch ok n should i wire it exactly as the diagram says, or differently cos of the switch??

I think its the same but i want to make sure. Thanks

by the sounds of it its a on/on switch. so it should be ok depending on the power of the LED, i was going to add one to show when the shift kit was active but was told there wasnt enough power to light up the LED and would muck with the power outage.

Heres a crappy pic, Its rated 12V 30 amps. I also got the DPDT switch as specified but it got 6 input tab 2 for each thing etc.

yeah that switch is what you need, however you only need 3 pins so six wont be used unless you want to hook up a LED to the other side, positive to the center and LED on the shiftkit side of the switch so it comes on when your shift kit is switched on.

WILDEB as i mentioned on the last page.. ITS ALL ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THIS THREAD. please go back and read it all

Just had a look at the diagram for El's. It looks exactly the same, except pin 71 is actually pin 57, and pin 81 is pin 38. Other than that it should use the same resistors and the same setup.

located on the first page. pin 57 and 38

Huggiebear i know you got your shift kit to work in your NC, i was trying to install mine to day but i dont have a wire running out of the 38 pin socket in the ECU did you?

My car is a 1991 EB1 Fairmont, i had to put a smartlock module in so i could run the EL ECU to match my EL tickford engine i put in.

Could i put a wire in the 38 hole, as i did for the BBM solenoid switch and smartlock??

Hopefully i just made a mistake n its all there

Please anyone could you help me out

Cheers Clint :)
