yea, i took it for a good drive to the city and back 2day,
because myn has the stupid gas ring on it, it runs out of top end faster than id like,
and faster than the car realises, so it wont shift till much later than what i want, but i can solve this by quickly snapping the throttle shut and then WOT again, you barely feel it and it shifts hard as f**k!

something weird happened 2day, after i was almost home, i turn the kit back on to drive throught town one last time, and i found that it wasn't working, in the on OR off position...
i immediately checked under the dash, but the wires were fine, and the car wasn't in limp home mode,
also, i pulled apart my electric window switches (coz thats where my box is located) and felt the box but it wasn't hot, and there is foam inside it to stop the resistors from moving about...

i check the diagram, and i think the switch my have fried,
its only little, and if its the case, it would be constantly by-passing the kit no matter what,
so ill check in the box 2morrow and make sure no wires have melted or crossed, and if everything is ok, ill replace the switch...

oh, as for the smell, there was 3 drops of tranny fluid on the ground, so i think your right, ill get the tranny serviced someday soon as i haven't since i bought the car...

the switch WONT stop your car from running it will just stay in 1st. same as if you removed the spedo plug from the gearbox.

does your car have smartlock? id say thats the issue or a relay has s**t itself

i fixed it, it was the switch, i changed it to a massive dual pole one so i can also run 2 LEDs for the ON and OFF positions, will be good once its all done...
i noticed there are circuit locks at jaycar that require a key to make a circuit work, i might look into that to stop people who i may lend out my car to from using the shift kit, and give them less inspiration to thrash it...

can this shift kit be used on EA, EB, ED, EF, EL, AU, BA, BF?

if yes whats the difference with the resistors with a V8 and V6 :?: and the wire numbers on the ECU that the shift kit has to be wired up to...

Thank you

Kind Regards

lol my bad, so it should fit all all models but what about the resistors and ECU wire numbers are they 100% the same or different?

if different whats the resistors needed for a V8 and a I6 and whats the different wire code numbers for the cars?

Thank you

Kind Regards

resistors are the same, there is differences between EA-ED MPFI EF and EL share the EA-ED pins i believe the AU share the same as EF and BA/BF i dont think has been tried as of yet.

there was a discussion over the last 2-3 pages on what V8 pics to use on the trans ECU

i have been reading this topic over and over again lol before i decided to finaly do it.
im more of a reader than a typer so i dont have many posts but i have read most of this site.
anyway i just finished soldering the whole kit and i hope my switch is big enough to handle it alland i cant remember where i saw it in her ebut somone was asking about adding a light to inform u the kit is on...
i would like ot have this set up so i have a visual thing to tell me when its on or off because im the type of guy who can forget one rainy day and end up in a tree.

so on a dual pole u ahve the six pins right? and use the 3 on one side for the circut and the other side for leds.

so both leds a connected to the middle switch and then one to each remaining peg?
is there something else i need to add or is that it?

the first bit was right about the pins, but thats not how you wire it up,
the positives of the leds go to the outer pins, then use the middle pin as the actual positive, and connect both led negatives to an earth, use the positive off the lighter plug, that way they wont stay on when u turn the car off
