i made my entire shift without soldering a single thing
i used those white terminal blocks i use for my audio connections, i can solder, but dont trust my skill enuff to have my transmission replying on it.. everything seems real secure the way ive done it so im pretty confident with all the connections i still havent really had a chance to install it yet tho ( plus im a little scared lol  )

You will need a soldering iron, but I will buy you a nice lunch/sixpack in return.  wish i was in perth i would do it for a sixpack ... trust me it is easy ... mine has been in the car for over 6 months now and i have mine turned on all the time (ecept when its raining) and the gearbox is great ... just had it serviced last month and they said it was in top condition ... give it a go ... just read how to do it and double check wire numbers before cutting |

Blue Falc...I live down in Armadale, but I can travel to meet you if necessary. What area are you in?
Cougar 30...I don't mind working on my car but I got no soldering iron. When I get around to start adding neons and extra lights in my faithful GLi then I will have to invest in one eventually and then get some practice up.

Thats what i did too .. i bought one to do the shift kit then added neons

Also can someone tell me the equivalent pins of 71 and 81 on the EA 4spd trans ecu. |

all the stuff for the shift kit cost me $20 and im using old wire. I bought a rocket switch ( I know its ricey) and im going to add the red and green leds. Is there resistors missing from the diagram with the leds in it?
Can someone please give me the appropriate pins for the EA 4spd trans computer. |

one circut is the regular limp wristed shift the other is the shift kit shift, hard and fast.

I'm looking at this with real interest, but i don't like the idea of a few loose wires running around to a box, which isn't very professional.
I've got an idea, i'll see what i can work out, and see how the shift kit turns out.
