well if it is the shift kit for sale on here thru ebay, then im guessing it jus makes ur auto shift at higher revs or allows u to manually change gears...
shouldnt be too hard to install, if u have basic knowledge of ur ECU and trans. not really worth it th i dont think. convert to manual. Manual is best!!!! if it is a manual tho, then it will jus be a new top plate for your gear box that will have a few parts bigger than stock that will change the distance u have 2 shift... piece of piss to install takes bout 1 hr if u no wat ur doin and prop 2-3 hrs if u dont.

Shiftkits increase the shift speed of electronic automatic transmissions. These modules recalibrate the hydraulic system in your transmission electronically without dropping the pan.
The shift module connects to the vehicle's engine or transmission control unit, and alters the way that the transmission shifts from one gear to the next. The module alters the signal the engine / transmission control unit provides to the transmission to control the line pressure. By slightly increasing the line pressure, the transmission changes harder from one gear to the next. This not only reduces heat generated within the clutches and bands in the transmission, but also will increase transmission life and reduce wear. i got mine from www.shiftkits.com.au for $75 off memory. its pretty easy to install as it comes with instructions, its well worth it and is lots of fun especially in the wet

If you are any good with a soldering iron and working out what wires are what, the electronic shift kit is only about $20 and takes 30mins to an hour to make
