A shiftkit is on its way and straight into my BA 6er
Its electronic and can be switched on or off Woundering what difference itll make in a straight line (quater mile) and who here has one and noticed any gain out of it? ALSO, will it operate differently when i put it on performance mode or economy mode (on the transmission) ??? BTW, cost $85 including delivery, happy bout the price so far

I had one on my car... they are good little things.. chirped second no worries.
The power economy switch on your transmission only controls WHERE it shifts, the shift kit control HOW it shifts.. so the two don't really coincide. As for the 1/4 mile.. hard to say, but Im sure you'll be able to tell us Cheers

hey guys,
have you got the kit from shiftkits.com.au? because I was going to get one soon and was wondering which one to get, the single stage of full adjustable one? which one would be best?

I have a mate who drag races his EF, He was getting 15.7s down the 1/4 and then got a stage 1 skift kit and droped .1 of a seccond off his time (ran a 15.6) I dont really think they will effect your time dramaticly, all they basicly do is make it Shift 'Harder' not faster

Get an edit done. They can tighten up the shifts there as well as when it shifts as well as free up lots more torque from your motor.

What do you think? Edit your ecu's tune!
I also agree bowsaw, just use tiptronic, it's firm enough as it is. Mines a bit clunky lately, might need new fluid. |

we have had reports of 1 to 2 tenths off 1/4 mile times with our shift kits on BA's. The shift kit will cost you $85.00 and will give a hard shift, an edit will cost you upwards of $1200, really depends what you want to spend and what results your after
