Got one on the 4lt and she chirps second everytime in the dry. Even with the 265/35/18's. The 3.7's probly helped a bit but yeah it makes a big difference but you will find you will alway drive with it off and turn it on when ya feel like it.

yep ,mine arriveed last week and fitted it on my lunch break at work...
in the wet HELL SCAREY at times, 1st to 2nd traction loss n sideways kick same same into 3rd. in the dry, even with the dial turned around only a quarter of a turn chirp and kick eveytime every surface.. i got 225/50/16 and 3.45lsd.. well worth the money and changes snap so fast , not much of a rev drop between gearchanges as compared to standard too.

i have had one for 6>7months, made it cost me $7
i have good tyres so its hard to chirp it, unless on a corner (thats fun...) just dont rev above 3500ish in the wet unless on a strait road you like to point 45' on the plus the shifts are MUCH better at 5600 really gives you a shunt in the back |

Standard ranges between 3.08 to 3.45 stock depending what model you have. 3.7's give better acceleration as it makes the first gear shorter.

well got my reply from shiftkits.com.au
They say that it wouldn't burn out the solenoid and I believe em, so I might go ahead with this. jamie wrote: Cam,
The shift kit we have available for the BA is a single stage shift kit. It has a single switch which allows the shift kit to be switched on or off, when switched on, it will give you a very sharp shift. As far as burning out solenoids, that information is incorrect, if the solenoid is going to 'burn out' it is more likely to occur without the shift kit installed. Regards Jamie

Regards Jamie Its not the solenoids that burn out - its the gearbox. These shift kits do reduce gearbox life. This isnt really a problem if your gearbox is low k's or in good condition, but if it has a few k's on it watch out. Ive heard of at least 1/2 a dozen gearboxes blowing in e-series an AU's within 6 months of installing one of these kits. And yeah, they work by putting less current through the solenoids so they are happy. The clutches and bands that get the extra hydraulic pressure may not be.

yeh, the facts do speak for themselves . I suppose it wouldn't hurt to only have it on once in a while when you feel like it. On their website, they claim it prolongs transmission life but who knows.

hehe, talk about copyright infringements. Nah, probably right, new mods make you drive differently, I just filled up petrol today after a month with my exhaust system and the efficiency has gone from 450-460 down to 425.
