I just had a wheel alignment and they tell me to come back for shimming.
What does that mean? They tried to explain it but it was a mystery to me.....

Camber needs to adjusted, they do this by shimming. Why they didn't do it there and then is strange. Maybe they needed to order a kit.

Sounds about right, When I pulled the front end apart on my el the left side was pretty well maxxed out with shims and wouldve needed an aftermarket kit if I lowered it more.

I'm not particularly happy. It went in because it was pulling to the left and it came out still pulling to the left.
So I have to take it back next week. Plus the steering wheel has been off centre ever since the auto elect put in a new clock spring and I asked the Bridgestone people if they could centre it.
Apparently not without the shimming they said.
So I'll book it in, and I won't leave until they fix it.
And I won't put a like on their Face book page either.....

If we are talking about an AU, you can't move the steering wheel.....well, you can, 90 degrees at a time.....not on a spline like ED and earlier.

Wow thanks for that info, I've been blaming the auto electrician for something he didn't do...
