I'm getting new front shocks (same spec as original pair) put on my aug 98 AU1 Tickford XR6 this coming week as the originals are absolutely dead
The front left has lost all it's oil and right front ain't far behind it
Car has done 61,000 km's and it had 48,000 when I bought it in august last year
Noticed the oil leak when I had it on my dad's hoist changing the oil
Obviously the original owner drove the car pretty hard as I'd expect shockers to last more than 60,000
My 98 AU1 forte which was lowered 3 inches with Pedders Sports Ryder shocks (don't like that brand anymore) had 108,000 on it when the shocks got really bad.
I was set to change them when the bank and fox incident happened.

Just curious to know from AU owners especially but all falcon owners in general how long the original pair of shocks have lasted on their cars
I drive very easily all times except when there is a cruise on so I expect the new ones to last at least 100,000

Wheel alignment was done this morning and the front was way out
Rear was almost perfect

i've seen them last anywhere from 5000km to 100,000km+, depends on a million different things

if ur goin by the fact of when they leak, igotta x taxi with factory shocks abt 950k no leaks and very low grip, but they r mad for goin side ways.
