Hi there,
I've got an EBII 4.0 sedan with standard suspension and 225/60/15 tyres
all round (run at 34psi). When I push on the corners of the car (parked), it seems a bit bouncy to me.

I thought I might need new shocks......??

Question:
If they need replacing I would like to put some new ones in that can:

- Make the ride stiffer & more direct, less bouncy and floaty
(or is this springs + other bits etc ?)
- Work with the existing standard springs, but
- Have a view to lowering it 25-30mm in the long term
- Be cost effective, no need for a race car

Any suggestions on shock types??

Many thanks.

If your going to replace the shocks you might as well do the springs while your at it, should only cost up to $200 for a set of king lows which should suit your application i.e 25-30mm lowering. Saves hassle and $$$ of installing it later when it can be done at the same time as the shocks.

Type of shocks depends on your budget and quality you are after. Starting at the cost effective end monroe/kyb through to pedders sportsryders and finally the excellent yet expensive koni/blistein etc

if you're after not so stiff suspension, the LOWs would be nice, and couple that with some pedders Comfort Gas shocks. Should be smooth, subtely lowered, and still be practical.

Cheers
